Armor2net has two ways to detect the spywares. One is that it automatically detects the spywares at intervals of 7 days (default). You may set the interval. The other is that you may manually start detecting the spywares.

Armor2net does not display any information while it is automatically detecting the spywares. If some spywares are found after detecting, the "Remove Spywares" dialog will appear and you can choose the spywares which you want to remove. If not, nothing will appear.

If you want to start manually detecting the spywares, you can click the "Clean Spywares" icon on toolbar or right click Armor2net icon at the bottom right of your screen and then select the "Clean Spywares" menu item.

The "Scanning Spywares" dialog will appear when you manually start detecting. You can get the degree of progress in scanning and the quantity of spywares that have been detected. You can also click the "Abort" button to stop scanning. If some spywares are found after scanning, the "Remove Spywares" dialog will appear, and you can choose those spywares that you want to remove. If not, another dialog will appear and tell you "No Spywares Found".

Step 2 Removing Spywares

When the "Remove Spyware" dialog appears, you will see all spywares detected on your computer. Some of them are checked and the rest are unchecked. If you have set some spywares as exceptions before, those are unchecked. You can check some spywares that you wish to remove and uncheck the others you do not wish to. Armor2net will automatically set the unchecked spywares as exceptions. If you check the unchecked spywares, Armor2net will automatically rid the exceptions of them. Then when you click the "Remove" button, the checked spywares will be deleted and backuped; the unchecked will be set as exceptions.

How to backup and restore the removed spywares
Sometimes, when you delete some spyware, some other software bringing this spyware itself would not work. Armor2net automatically backups all spywares removed. If you want to restore some of them, you should click the "I want ¡­" bar and select the "Restore the deleted spywares" menu item, the "Restore Spyware" dialog will appear.

You can check the spywares you wish to restore. Armor2net will automatically set the restored spywares as exceptions. Click the "Restore" button to confirm this action.

How to set some spywares as exceptions
If you do not wish some spywares to be deleted, you should set them as exceptions. Click the "I want ¡­" bar and select the "Define the exceptions on cleaning spywares" menu item.

The "Define Exceptions" dialog has two lists. The left list, "All spywares", displays all known spywares. The right list, "Exceptions", displays spywares as exceptions.
Select the spywares that you want to set as exceptions on the left list, and then click the "Add" button. They will appear on the right list.
If you want to rid exceptions of some spywares, select them on the right list and then click the "Del" button. They will disappear from the right list.
Click the "Ok" button to confirm this action.

How to set the interval of clearing spywares and the period of keeping backup of the spywares
Click the "I want ¡­" bar and select the "Options¡­" menu item and then select the "Spyware Killer" tab.
